| The Fraser Coast region is a local government area within the Wide Bay–Burnett region of Queensland, Australia. The region's center is the cities of Hervey Bay and Maryborough, and also includes K'gari. The permanent resident population was 111,032 in 2021. Hervey Bay is known as Australia's Whale Watching Capital and is considered the best place to see humpback whales up close. | |
